The External Engineering Manager oversees and coordinates external engineering partnerships and projects across multiple disciplines to ensure seamless integration and successful delivery of engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate strategic partnerships with external engineering consulting firms, technical specialists, and third-party service providers
Manage the external engineering ecosystem, including scope, interfaces, and technical alignment
Oversee schedules and deliverables of external engineering work
Ensure external work products integrate into a cohesive, buildable solution
Requirements
Experience in leading and coordinating strategic partnerships with external engineering consulting firms, technical specialists, and third-party service providers.
Ability to manage and coordinate external engineering work through a network of specialized external partners, often running multiple firms in parallel across disciplines such as chemical process engineering, mechanical, electrical, and process safety including HAZOP support.
Proven experience in leading an external engineering ecosystem by coordinating scope and interfaces among multiple external partners.
Skill in driving technical alignment among external partners and internal teams.
Experience in managing schedules and deliverables for external engineering projects.
Ability to ensure outside work products integrate cleanly into a single, buildable solution.
