A Business Analyst Planner is responsible for coordinating and optimizing sales, production, and financial planning in a sustainable aquaculture company, utilizing data analysis, modeling, and AI-driven tools to ensure timely product availability and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and develop integrated sales and production planning processes
Build and maintain rolling forecasts based on biomass, priorities, and constraints
Analyze biological asset data and translate into actionable business insights
Model scenarios for production and commercial planning to support decision-making
Monitor variances against plans and recommend corrective actions
Drive continuous improvement of planning tools, systems, and AI-based capabilities
Serve as the central communication hub to ensure alignment across teams
Communicate insights clearly and foster shared understanding across departments
Requirements
Possess experience in building and maintaining rolling forecasts that reflect biomass availability, commercial priorities, and production constraints.
Have the ability to analyze biological asset cycles including growth, yield, size distribution, mortality, and FCR, and translate them into actionable business insights.
Be capable of modeling commercial and production planning scenarios to support prioritization and strategic decision-making.
Monitor variances versus the plan and recommend course corrections based on analysis.
Drive continuous improvement of planning tools, production systems, and forecasting models.
Support the development and implementation of AI-based planning, prediction, and optimization capabilities.
Promote digital discipline and evidence-based decision-making throughout the organization.
Serve as the planning hub across teams, ensuring alignment and transparency among departments.
Communicate insights clearly and diplomatically, balancing firmness and collaboration.
Help avoid silos by fostering shared understanding across operations, sales, and finance.
Possess experience in coordinating planning across Finance, Production, and Commercial departments.
Have a strong interest in numbers, systems, and modeling, with an understanding of biological production dynamics and business context.
Be willing to work in a role embedded within the core operating rhythm of the organization, supporting key business decisions with data-driven insights.
Possess the ability to support and promote sustainability and responsible aquaculture practices.
