Job Description
The Senior Manager of Inventory Accounting is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial analysis of grow facilities operations within the cannabis industry, ensuring accurate costing, compliance, and providing financial insights to support operational leadership and drive business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all grow facilities operations accounting tasks and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Drive standardization of accounting processes across all grow sites.
- Collaborate with operations and general accounting teams to oversee costing, compliance, and inventory analytics.
- Provide timely and accurate financial data to operational leadership to support forecasting and KPI analysis.
- Supervise regional team members responsible for inventory accounting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing inventory accounting tasks within a manufacturing or retail environment, with a focus on grow facilities or similar operations.
- Supervisory experience overseeing regional team members involved in operations accounting or related functions.
- Ability to ensure accurate accounting for grow facilities and drive standardization across all sites.
- Experience working with operations and general accounting teams to drive costing oversight and ensure compliance.
- Support the analytics for manufacturing and retail inventory and cost of goods sold, providing quality and timely financial data.
- Ability to work as a business partner with operational leadership to ensure accurate forecast and KPI information is used to drive results.
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting principles, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing or retail inventory analytics.
- Excellent communication skills to provide insight into financials to senior leadership including the VP of Operations and Chief Operating Officer.
- Ability to adapt to changing duties, responsibilities, and activities as required by the organization.
