Job Description
A laboratory-based role for a Senior Research Scientist responsible for leading research and development programs focused on characterizing and developing new redox-flow-battery materials, developing test equipment and methods, and collaborating with internal and external partners to advance energy storage technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage R&D programs to characterize new redox-flow-battery materials
- Develop new test equipment and methods for battery research
- Establish and grow collaborative research efforts with internal and external partners
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and other departments
Requirements
- The candidate must have experience in leading and managing R D programmes to characterise new redox-flow-battery materials.
- The candidate must have experience in developing new test equipment and methods for energy storage research.
- The candidate must have the ability to establish and grow new collaborative research efforts with internal and external scientific partners and materials suppliers.
- The candidate must have the ability to provide support and guide research to junior members of the technology group.
- The candidate must have the ability to provide technical guidance to other teams within the company.
- The role is primarily lab-based, requiring the candidate to work in a laboratory environment.
- The candidate must be highly motivated with exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
- The candidate must be willing to engage with a collaborative culture and be motivated by making a difference in the world.
