Job Description
A Product Development Engineer responsible for identifying key parameters for new manufacturing methods and processes, collaborating with the design team to enhance Invinity's energy storage products, and making key design and process decisions to support product evolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and understand key parameters for new manufacturing methods and processes
- Collaborate with the design team to leverage new manufacturing capabilities
- Make key design and process decisions to improve products and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience in identifying and understanding key parameters for new manufacturing methods and processes.
- Ability to collaborate with the design team to take full advantage of new manufacturing capabilities.
- Proven ability to make key design and process decisions related to product development and manufacturing.
- Experience working within a product development environment, specifically on the Balance of System Design team or similar.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and methods relevant to energy storage systems or similar industrial products.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams including design and manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to evolve products and processes through collaboration and decision-making.
- Experience in the energy storage industry or with grid-scale battery systems is preferred but not explicitly mandatory.
- Physical ability to work in a manufacturing or laboratory environment, if required by the role.
