Job Description
A Senior Research Scientist role focused on leading R&D programs related to redox-flow-battery materials, developing new testing methods, and collaborating with internal and external partners to advance energy storage technologies for grid-scale renewable energy integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute R&D programs to characterize new redox-flow-battery materials
- Develop new test equipment and methods for battery research
- Establish and foster collaborative research efforts with internal and external partners
- Guide and support the research efforts of junior team members
- Provide technical guidance to other teams within the company
Requirements
- The candidate must have experience in leading and executing research and development (R D) programmes to characterise new redox-flow-battery materials.
- The candidate must have experience in developing new test equipment and methods for energy storage materials.
- The candidate must have the ability to establish new collaborative research efforts with internal and external scientific partners and materials suppliers.
- The candidate must have the ability to support and guide the research efforts of junior members of the technology group.
- The candidate must have the ability to provide technical guidance to other teams within the company.
- The candidate must have a highly motivated attitude with exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
- The candidate must have a significant laboratory focus and experience working in a laboratory environment related to energy storage or similar fields.
