Job Description
A Technical Business Systems Analyst responsible for translating organizational needs into technical solutions, optimizing enterprise platforms including AI-driven systems, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve processes, ensure compliance, and support system integrations within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, document, and validate business requirements for enterprise systems, platforms, and integrations.
- Analyze business processes, workflows, and data models to identify inefficiencies, risks, and automation opportunities.
- Develop and manage business requirements documents, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Support solution design by collaborating with architects, developers, and engineers to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business goals.
- Facilitate workshops, design sessions, and stakeholder interviews to drive consensus and alignment.
- Conduct gap analyses, impact assessments, and feasibility studies for new systems or enhancements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams for resolution.
- Prioritize and triage system issues, incidents, and defects to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validate end-to-end workflows.
- Evaluate and leverage AI tools, agentic platforms, and automation solutions to optimize processes and decision-making.
- Create and deliver executive reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on industry best practices, regulatory compliance, and emerging technology trends.
Requirements
- Seven (7) years of progressive experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
- Extensive consulting experience gained at a top-tier firm such as a Big Four consultancy (e.g., Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, or Booz Allen Hamilton) is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Strong understanding of ERP, CRM, and/or financial systems experience with platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Deltek Costpoint (a plus).
- Proficiency in requirements management, process mapping, and data analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or Lucidchart.
- Knowledge of systems integration, APIs, and modern enterprise architectures including cloud, SaaS, and hybrid models.
- Familiarity with AI-driven solutions, machine learning concepts, and emerging agentic software platforms, with the ability to assess their applicability in enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with cross-functional teams for resolution.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively from end users to C-suite levels.
- Demonstrated expertise in consulting methodologies, structured problem-solving, and delivering enterprise-scale technology projects.
- Physical ability to occasionally stand, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- This position is 100% on-site, with responsibilities sometimes requiring working evenings and weekends, and with little to no advance notice.
