Job Description
The Semiconductor Yield Analyst is responsible for improving device yield in quantum and semiconductor devices by analyzing electrical testing data, investigating failures through materials characterization, and utilizing statistical methods to optimize fabrication processes. The role involves technical communication, data management, and working with cryogenic testing equipment in a laboratory setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve semiconductor spin quantum bit devices to enhance device yield
- Relate electrical testing data at various temperature stages to fabrication processes and device design
- Investigate device failures using materials characterization techniques
- Organize, update, and summarize experimental results and data
- Use databases to extract critical information and perform statistical data analysis
- Communicate technical findings through oral and written reports
Requirements
- 10 Years of experience in the semiconductor yield engineering field.
- Master's or Doctorate degree in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, or related field.
- Experience in statistical analysis and design of experiments.
- Experience in failure analysis, including materials characterization techniques.
- Development and design of novel semiconductor or quantum devices, including understanding of cleanroom fabrication equipment and processes.
- Knowledge of semiconductor device physics.
- Ability to relate electrical data taken at various temperature stages of testing, including quantum coherent spin qubit characterization, to fabrication processes and semiconductor device design.
- Ability to investigate device failures through materials characterization techniques.
- Ability to organize, update, and summarize results.
- Proficiency in using databases to extract critical information and perform statistical data analysis.
- Experience with reporting and documentation of test results.
- Familiarity with cryogenic test equipment.
- Must be able to climb ladders to use elevated test equipment.
- Must be able to work safely in a laboratory environment.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to apply for a US Government security clearance.
