Job Description
A senior scientist position focused on conducting cryogenic, low-noise experiments on spin qubit devices, developing measurement techniques, and collaborating across physics, software, and engineering teams to advance quantum device technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct low-noise, cryogenic experiments on sensitive spin qubit devices
- Develop and implement new measurement techniques and methods for quantum devices
- Operate and master spin qubit devices to advance experimental capabilities
- Collaborate with software, theory, and signal modeling teams to enhance experiments
- Troubleshoot analog electronics and analyze noise in experimental setups
- Perform data analysis and hardware interfacing through scientific programming
- Communicate research findings via technical presentations and journal publications
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics, or Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on quantum devices or technologies, along with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in modern experimental physics techniques including troubleshooting analog electronics and noise analysis.
- Mastery in scientific programming for data analysis and hardware interfacing.
- Demonstrated experience in scientific communication through technical presentations and journal publications.
- Ability and desire to work in a collaborative, team-based environment that integrates physics, software development, data science, and engineering.
- Must be able to climb ladders to use elevated test equipment.
- Must be able to work safely in a laboratory environment and be on-site at least 4 days a week.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.

Base salary range: 182,720 - 234,168 USD
