Job Description
A software engineer responsible for developing software to automate, control, and characterize quantum devices, working closely with physicists and data engineers to advance quantum information technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop software to control signal generation and measurement hardware
- Create software for autonomous execution of experiments, measurements, and calibrations
- Collaborate with experimental physicists to enable laboratory experimentation
- Work with data engineers to organize and ensure accessibility of test and measurement data
Requirements
- 8 years relevant software engineering experience
- Solid understanding of core computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and computer architectures
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with software engineering practices such as version control and continuous integration
- Experience working with electronic test equipment
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or relevant field
- US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance
