Job Description
An Industrial Electrician responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting, ensuring safety and compliance with codes, and supporting plant operations through electrical and mechanical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical rearrangement, construction, and maintenance operations following instructions and codes.
- Install and replace conduit, junction boxes, switches, lighting fixtures, and pull wires as needed.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, reset breakers, replace fuses, and report non-routine conditions.
- Dismantle, disassemble, and repair electrical units, assisting under supervision.
- Test electrical equipment using measurement devices such as ammeters and voltmeters.
- Re-lamp, clean, and replace defective lighting fixtures, bulbs, and components.
- Operate switches to control electrical circuits and identify hazardous wiring or conditions.
- Recognize and report electrical faults and hazardous conditions requiring repair.
- Troubleshoot and maintain process control systems including PLCs, motors, VFDs, and pneumatic controls.
- Maintain and enhance electrical systems and components, including wiring and fuses.
- Track equipment parts using spreadsheets and CMMS systems.
- Work in confined spaces and in clean room or laboratory environments following safety practices.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and 7-10 years electrical experience in a commercial industrial setting.
- Certification from an Electrical apprenticeship program is preferred.
- Must be available to work swing or second shift, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Valid Driver's license.
- Section 608 certification as required by 40 CFR part 82, subpart F, under the EPA Clean Air Act Requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, circuits, motors, VFDs, pneumatic controls, air compressors, and general process control systems.
- Ability to install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring.
- Data spreadsheet tracking of equipment parts and familiarity with CMMS computer maintenance management systems.
- Work in a clean room and laboratory environment with electrical requirements.
- Adherence to industrial safety practices.
- Physical ability to ascend and descend ladders and stairs, bend, squat, stoop, twist, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds, and perform other essential motor skills.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.

Compensation range: $52.74 - $65.94 per hour plus bonus and benefits
