The EV Field Service Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing electric vehicles and charging stations, ensuring they operate properly to support electric fleet operations, with training provided by Highland Electric Fleets.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with customers to ensure electric vehicles and charging stations are functioning properly
Perform manufacturer-approved testing, repairs, and troubleshooting on electric vehicles and related equipment
Repair and maintain Level 2 EV chargers, DC Fast Chargers, and communications equipment
Provide technical support and diagnostics for electric vehicle systems and charging infrastructure
Requirements
Must be enthusiastic about electric vehicles (EVs) and a self-starter who is willing to work closely with customers to ensure that Highland's electric vehicles and charging stations are working properly and that buses can get students to where they need to be.
Must have the ability to perform original equipment manufacturer-approved testing, repairs, and troubleshooting customer issues related to electric vehicles and charging stations.
Must be able to repair all local equipment including basic electric vehicle functions, Level 2 EV chargers, DC Fast Chargers, and communications equipment, with relevant training provided by Highland.
Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Must obtain and maintain ASE certification or be on a clear path to obtaining ASE certification, with paid pathing provided by Highland.
Must have the ability to perform testing, repairs, and troubleshooting on electric vehicle systems and charging stations.
Must be able to work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.
