Job Description
A Senior Analyst or Associate role focused on financial modeling and analytics within the Risk Management team at a sustainable infrastructure investment firm, supporting transaction closings and portfolio management across various renewable energy asset classes.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, audit, and manage financial models in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Support the development, review, and improvement of transaction and portfolio models.
- Assist with data analysis, database support, and automation of financial models.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year institution or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business.
- Strong financial modeling and analytics experience, with demonstrable experience developing and managing complex financial models using MS Excel.
- Experience working with a cross-functional finance team including Risk Management, Portfolio Management, Investments, Capital Markets, and Accounting to build, audit, and manage financial models.
- Support with developing, improving, reviewing, and auditing transaction models.
- Assist with developing and managing portfolio models for multiple asset classes.
- Work with IT teams to support corporate-wide databases, data analysis, and model-automation developments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated interest in sustainable investing, with a focus on financial modeling and analytics.
- Detail-oriented, collaborative, dependable, and reliable team member with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Experience with modern data analytics and reporting tools such as Business Objects, SQL, SSMS, SSIS, R, PowerBI, Tableau (preferred but not mandatory).
- Willingness to work in Annapolis, MD or New York, NY (location requirement).
- Work authorization: HASI is willing to take over sponsorship for existing H1-B visas for exceptional talent; unable to provide new H-1B sponsorship at this time.
