Job Description
The role involves raising capital and managing relationships with institutional investors such as insurance companies, pension funds, and banks, primarily through debt structuring, securitization, and asset-based lending. The position requires leading transaction closings, collaborating with the investment team, and providing market insights to support energy infrastructure and climate investing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and strengthen long-term investor relationships with institutional investors such as insurance companies, pension funds, and banks.
- Prepare and present transaction opportunities to institutional investors, including financial models, marketing materials, and investor presentations.
- Negotiate and propose capital arrangements like Separately Managed Accounts with institutional investors.
- Collaborate with the Investment Team to understand and identify investment opportunities across various asset classes.
- Lead transaction closing processes with institutional investors and ensure effective communication for future transactions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in asset-based lending, structured finance, and or securitization markets with a clear understanding of institutional investor preferences and common market structures.
- Experience managing and growing sophisticated investor relationships, particularly in institutional and alternative asset management.
- Understanding of finance models and documentation involved in closing a financing transaction.
- Process oriented with ability to develop goal-oriented tasks and drive a project forward as a transaction and relationship lead.
- Ability to keep track of multiple tasks and workstreams with high attention to detail and clear sense of responsibilities within a team dynamic.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable and reliable, excellent at taking initiative and being productive without supervision, and being a supportive team member.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution.
- At least 10 years of experience in asset-based lending, structured finance, and or securitization.
