A Visual Systems Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CCD-based vision systems to ensure quality and efficiency in battery cell manufacturing processes at Gotion's Illinois facility.
Key Responsibilities
Design and integrate CCD-based vision systems for quality control in battery cell manufacturing
Develop algorithms and software for real-time defect detection and image analysis
Collaborate with automation teams to align vision systems with robotic workflows
Calibrate and maintain CCD equipment to ensure consistent performance
Troubleshoot vision system issues and implement improvements to enhance accuracy and reliability
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Optics, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience working with CCD technology or vision systems, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
Proficiency in image processing software and programming languages such as OpenCV, Python, and C.
Experience with integrating vision systems into automated production lines.
Strong understanding of optics, lighting, and sensor technologies.
Ability to design, implement, and maintain vision systems utilizing Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) technology for quality control in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Ability to develop algorithms and software to process and analyze images captured by CCD cameras for real-time defect detection.
Ability to calibrate and maintain CCD equipment to ensure consistent performance.
Ability to troubleshoot vision system issues and implement improvements to enhance accuracy and reliability.
Knowledge of safety and industry standards for battery manufacturing.
