Job Description
The Sr Production Quality Engineer at Gotion Inc. is responsible for ensuring high-quality manufacturing processes by analyzing quality data, implementing control plans, conducting root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement to meet company and customer standards in the battery production industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze production and quality data to identify trends and potential issues
- Conduct root cause analysis of quality problems and verify effectiveness of corrective actions
- Manage non-conforming products, including determination, documentation, and rework processes
- Ensure implementation of control plans in production, including inspection standards and corrective actions
- Train operators on quality processes and standards in production
- Inspect production processes regularly to identify risks and recommend improvements
- Manage and conduct audits of quality activities and maintain quality records
- Develop and maintain standard inspection guidelines
- Monitor industry quality standards and promote factory quality system improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in quality engineering in the manufacturing industry, with priority given to those with experience in battery or automotive battery industry
- Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with quality management systems ISO 9001, IATF 16949, etc.
- Familiarity with Kaizen and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action)
- Familiarity with DOE (Design of Experiments) solving tools
- Mastered quality tools and methods such as SPC (Statistical Process Control), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), 8D, 5Why, Fishbone diagrams
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office software
- Familiarity with quality management software (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
Benefits & Perks
U.S. base salary range of $100,000.00 - $120,000.00, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits
