Job Description

The Senior Manager, Recruiting at Gotion Inc. leads talent acquisition efforts for manufacturing and technical roles related to energy storage systems, building and managing a high-performing recruitment team to support the company's growth in sustainable energy technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy for manufacturing, engineering, and technical roles, focusing on ESS and related industries
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters across Illinois and California
  • Partner with department leaders to understand hiring needs and align recruitment efforts with business goals
  • Lead candidate sourcing using innovative techniques to build a pipeline of qualified candidates
  • Streamline the end-to-end recruitment process from role planning to onboarding
  • Collaborate on employer branding initiatives to showcase the company's sustainability and innovation commitments
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics to improve hiring processes and report progress to leadership
  • Ensure recruitment activities comply with federal and state labor laws
  • Oversee university recruiting programs to connect students with opportunities
  • Stay informed on industry trends to anticipate talent needs and maintain a competitive edge
  • Build relationships with local communities and training programs to support talent development

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in scaling talent acquisition efforts from hundreds to thousands of employees across exempt and non-exempt roles.
  • Proven experience recruiting for manufacturing or technical hardware roles, ideally within the energy storage systems (ESS) industry or adjacent sectors such as automotive, renewable energy, or battery technology.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing recruitment teams.
  • Deep knowledge of recruitment strategies for technical and manufacturing roles, including sourcing passive candidates.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop talent.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with candidates, hiring managers, and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, ideally Greenhouse, and recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate satisfaction) to drive decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Full-time position based in Manteno, Illinois, with occasional travel for industry events, job fairs, or to other Gotion locations.

Benefits & Perks

Salary range: $145,000 - $165,000 with 15-20% bonus
