Job Description
The Program Manager at Gotion Inc. oversees the entire lifecycle of electric vehicle and energy storage programs, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing cross-functional teams, and coordinating project execution from initial RFI/RFQ through production, while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire program lifecycle from RFI/RFQ to 6 months post-production, ensuring customer satisfaction and achievement of timing, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, negotiate terms, and serve as the official Gotion global product representative.
- Prepare and submit RFQs, build business plans, define investment schemes, and manage program investments in compliance with controlling procedures.
- Monitor program progress through updates to business plans, dashboards, and budgets; conduct reviews and develop action plans for risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams including sales, controlling, purchasing, quality, production, supply chain, design, and engineering, setting objectives and assignments.
- Ensure adherence to the Gotion Program Management System (PMS), organize communication, and facilitate smooth transfer from development to production.
- Organize key program information for continuity and knowledge management, and arbitrate conflicts related to financial or technical issues.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
- Master's degree, ideally in engineering or program management.
- Minimum of 4-7 years of job experience in vehicle assembly plant, vehicle product development center, Tier 1 supplier, energy storage system solution providers, or similar industrial environment, with product experience considered a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of project experience.
- Results orientation.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Conflict management skills with the ability to prevent and solve conflicts.
- Ability to work in a matrixed organization.
- Good knowledge of project management processes, standards, tools, and methods.
- Ability to establish, develop, lead, and unite a team.
- Strong financial knowledge, including building and following a Business Plan.
- Proficiency in problem-solving techniques.
- Strategic and analytic capabilities.
- Planning and organizing abilities.
- Willingness to do overseas traveling.
- Ability to develop and manage customer relationships and negotiate with customers.
- Ability to prepare and submit RFQ to management and liaise with Program Controller to build Business Plans and define investment schemes.
- Experience in launching and monitoring program progress through updating Business Plans, Program Dashboards, and Budget Reports.
- Experience conducting risk and opportunity analysis and developing action plans.
- Experience arbitrating conflicts with customers on financial and technical issues.
- Experience staffing, managing, and coordinating cross-functional teams including Sales, Controlling, Purchasing, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Design, and Product Process Engineering.
- Ability to create a Program Management culture by applying processes defined in the Gotion Global Product Program Management System (PMS) and developing synergies among team members.
- Experience organizing communications throughout the program lifecycle and ensuring smooth transfer from Development Center to Production Plant.
- Ability to organize key program information to ensure program continuity and contribute to knowledge management.
- Full understanding and adherence to the contents of the Code of Conduct distributed by Gotion.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $100,000 - $200,000 USD
