Job Description
The Production Planning Supervisor oversees the development and execution of production and delivery plans for battery manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with capacity, demand, and efficiency targets while coordinating cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and operational stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and execute monthly and daily production and delivery plans for cell, PACK, and assembly operations.
- Align production plans with capacity, inventory, efficiency, and operational constraints.
- Coordinate with headquarters planning teams to finalize and approve production plans.
- Monitor and supervise production performance, addressing execution gaps proactively.
- Collaborate with sales to understand customer requirements and develop delivery schedules.
- Adjust production plans based on real-time customer demand and delivery progress.
- Track and report key performance indicators related to production and operational efficiency.
- Organize and lead production coordination meetings to resolve operational issues.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to address issues related to materials, quality, staffing, and equipment.
Requirements
- Develop, coordinate, and execute monthly and daily production and delivery plans to support cell, PACK, and assembly operations, ensuring alignment with production capacity, inventory levels, efficiency targets, and customer demand.
- Decompose monthly cell and PACK requirements based on the monthly product plan and compile, review, finalize, and issue monthly cell, PACK, and assembly production plans.
- Align production plans with capacity, inventory, efficiency, and operational constraints.
- Coordinate with headquarters planning teams to receive, review, finalize, approve, and issue production plans.
- Monitor daily and monthly production performance against the plan and organize production strictly according to approved production plans.
- Supervise production progress and proactively address execution gaps.
- Coordinate 4M1E resources, including Manpower, Machinery, Materials, Methods, and Environment.
- Collaborate with Sales to understand customer requirements and demand schedules and develop monthly delivery plans based on production output plans.
- Prepare annual project delivery plans aligned to business targets and adjust internal production plans based on real-time customer demand and delivery progress.
- Support headquarters performance management initiatives by tracking and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs), including Production completion rate and Cell utilization rate.
- Monitor plan attainment, delivery performance, and operational efficiency metrics.
- Organize and lead production coordination meetings, summarize production issues and operational risks, assign follow-up actions, and ensure corrective action implementation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to materials, quality, staffing, and equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, and Outlook.
- Demonstrate strong learning agility with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
- Exhibit high execution discipline with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Possess excellent communication and stakeholder coordination capabilities.
- Have a strong team collaboration mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with production, sales, quality, logistics, and headquarters planning teams.
- Have production planning or scheduling experience in manufacturing, battery, EV, automotive, or industrial environments.
- Experience working with production planning systems, MES, or ERP platforms.
- Experience coordinating multi-site or headquarters-linked planning operations.
