Job Description
A Junior Process Engineer supports process development, optimization, and troubleshooting in lithium battery cell manufacturing, working closely with senior engineers to ensure efficient production, quality, and continuous improvement in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support process development, optimization, and stabilization for lithium battery cell manufacturing
- Assist with production ramp-up, equipment installation, debugging, and validation activities
- Monitor process stability, yield, and key production metrics to support capacity ramp-up
- Compile, maintain, and review process documentation including flowcharts, standards, and work instructions
- Support control of critical process parameters and key control points
- Investigate and resolve on-site process issues in the cell production line
- Collect data and support structured problem-solving activities
- Evaluate new equipment, materials, or process technologies for the production line
- Support small process experiments, data collection, and basic statistical analysis
- Assist in summarizing findings and contributing to improvement reports
- Participate in training production line employees on process awareness and standard work
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- 0 to 2 years of relevant engineering experience, including internships, co-ops, or academic project experience
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, data analysis, and problem-solving methodologies
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Willingness to work in a factory or manufacturing environment
