Job Description
This role involves managing Foreign Trade Zone operations, including customs documentation, compliance, and coordination with U.S. Customs Border Protection, to support Gotion Inc.'s manufacturing and logistics activities in the electric vehicle and energy storage sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary CBP contact for Foreign Trade Zone functions under the Foreign Trade Zone Services Agreement.
- Prepare and submit required documentation to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, including Foreign Trade Zone admissions, weekly withdrawals, and quarterly/annual reports.
- Initiate customs entries, export transactions, and zone-to-zone transfers for merchandise entering and leaving the zone.
- Maintain complete and accurate Foreign Trade Zone record-keeping for CBP review.
- Validate Foreign Trade Zone data against documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with software vendors to ensure operational efficiency of processes and systems.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of experience working in an inventory control, warehousing, logistics, or customs role.
- Three (3) years of experience administering a Foreign Trade Zone.
- Three (3) years of experience working directly with Customs Border Patrol.
- Knowledge of inventory control systems, warehousing and logistics activities including knowledge of logistics Customs terminology and US Tariff Schedule.
- In-depth experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
