The EHS Manager at Gotion Inc. oversees environmental, health, and safety programs at a lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk management, and fostering a proactive safety culture to support operational excellence and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and improve EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
Lead environmental permitting, reporting, and compliance initiatives.
Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
Lead incident investigations and analyze safety metrics to drive safety improvements.
Design and deliver safety training programs for employees, supervisors, and leadership.
Manage EHS documentation, records, and regulatory reporting.
Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors.
Collaborate with operations and leadership to integrate safety into business processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
At least 5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance regulations.
Experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing, energy storage systems (ESS), or high-hazard manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Proven ability to develop and implement scalable EHS programs.
Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication, leadership, and presentation abilities.
