Job Description
The EHS Manager at Gotion Inc. oversees environmental, health, and safety programs at a lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk management, and fostering a proactive safety culture to support operational excellence and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and improve EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Lead environmental permitting, reporting, and compliance initiatives.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations and analyze safety metrics to drive safety improvements.
- Design and deliver safety training programs for employees, supervisors, and leadership.
- Manage EHS documentation, records, and regulatory reporting.
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors.
- Collaborate with operations and leadership to integrate safety into business processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance regulations.
- Experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing, energy storage systems (ESS), or high-hazard manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Proven ability to develop and implement scalable EHS programs.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, leadership, and presentation abilities.
