Job Description
The role involves overseeing the commissioning, testing, and documentation of Gotion's energy storage systems at customer sites, providing training and support for operations, managing relationships with external partners, and ensuring successful project deployment and acceptance testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document commissioning processes for Gotion Energy Storage Systems
- Oversee commissioning at customer sites, including cold and hot commissioning tasks
- Train customer teams and engineers on commissioning and operational procedures
- Manage utility-scale EPCs and O&M relationships, providing product training
- Conduct commissioning and acceptance testing, including preparing checklists, plans, and reports
- Support project management by reviewing design, equipment selection, and ensuring efficient deployment
- Travel to client or project sites up to 50% of the time to support commissioning activities
- Develop technical documentation to support commissioning and O&M activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering experience preferred)
- 3 or more years of hands-on experience in renewable energy project commissioning or performance testing
- Strong understanding of SCADA communication protocols such as Modbus and DNP3, networking design and operation, energy management systems, battery management systems, and utility relay and metering equipment
- Resourceful team player capable of collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, product management, and software development
- Ability to coordinate and engage with external stakeholders, including clients, owner’s engineers, EPC contractors, independent engineers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to travel to client or project sites up to 50% of the time
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments at project sites
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $90,000 - $130,000 USD
