The role involves overseeing financial consolidation, compliance, and reporting processes, managing audits and tax filings, and leading a finance team to support the company's growth in electric vehicle and energy storage technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee consolidation and inter-company elimination entries monthly
Coordinate training programs for new staff and conduct performance evaluations
Plan and implement policies and procedures aligned with the company's financial strategy
Manage the company's financial operations, including payables, cash receipts, and assets
Oversee technical accounting compliance such as ASC 606 and ASC 842
Lead the company's annual financial audit
Monitor and analyze financial accounting data
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Review and approve monthly account reconciliations
Own month and year-end close processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Review financial results versus budget and prior periods to identify trends and concerns
Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting, including updating rolling cash forecasts
Oversee filing and support of sales, use, and personal property tax returns
Collaborate with outside CPA firms on corporate income tax return preparation and review tax provisions
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance
CPA certification is highly desired
7 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong knowledge of general ledger and consolidations accounting
At least 2 years of experience as a people manager
Experience working in Big 4 accounting firms for 3 years and private industry for 3 years is strongly desired
Ability to analyze, prioritize, and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, Vlookup, Sumif, and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports
Knowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 842 accounting standards is a must
