Job Description
This role involves overseeing the company's financial consolidation, accounting, and compliance activities, managing audits and reporting, and leading a finance team to support Gotion's growth in electric vehicle and energy storage technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee consolidation and inter-company elimination entries monthly
- Coordinate training programs for new staff and conduct performance evaluations
- Plan and implement policies and procedures aligned with the company's financial strategy
- Manage the company's financial operations, including payables, cash receipts, and assets
- Oversee technical accounting compliance such as ASC 606 and ASC 842
- Lead the company's annual financial audit
- Monitor and analyze financial accounting data
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Review and approve monthly account reconciliations
- Own month and year-end close processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Review financial results versus budget and prior periods to identify trends and concerns
- Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting, including cash flow updates
- Oversee filing and support of sales, use, and personal property tax returns
- Collaborate with outside CPA firms on corporate income tax return preparation and review
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or Finance
- CPA certification is highly desired
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong knowledge of general ledger and consolidations accounting
- At least 2 years of experience as a people manager
- 3 years of experience in Big 4 accounting firms and private industry experience are strongly desired
- Ability to analyze, prioritize, and execute in a high-pressure environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, Vlookup, Sumif, etc., and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports
- Must possess a positive attitude and ability to adapt to changes in workload and job requirements
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills needed to develop collaborative working relationships with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 842 accounting standards is a must
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $90,000 - $150,000 USD
