Job Description
A Principal AI Engineer responsible for designing, building, and scaling payment platforms and products, with a focus on integrating AI technologies like large language models to automate workflows and enhance customer experiences in a secure, reliable, and innovative manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale the payments platform and customer-facing payment products to ensure security, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver seamless payment experiences
- Shape and execute AI strategy by developing and implementing intelligent agents powered by LLMs and other AI technologies
- Explore and implement how AI agents can automate workflows and deliver personalized, adaptive product experiences
- Balance short-term product needs with building long-term platform capabilities to enable scalable innovation
Requirements
- Experience in designing, building, and scaling payments platforms and customer-facing payment products that are secure, reliable, and performant.
- Ability to collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver seamless payments experiences that power every transaction.
- Proven expertise in shaping and executing AI strategies with Agents powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI technologies.
- Experience exploring and implementing how intelligent agents can transform payments by automating complex workflows and delivering personalized and adaptive product experiences.
- Ability to balance near-term product needs with building long-term platform capabilities that enable innovation at scale.
- Experience in developing and maintaining core payments technology, including security, reliability, and performance standards.
- Strong understanding of AI and automation technologies relevant to payments processing.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and adapt to changing responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or managers.
- Knowledge of the general nature and level of work involved in payments technology and AI-driven solutions, with the capacity to perform related responsibilities as needed.
