Job Description
As a Senior Project Manager at GE Vernova, you will be responsible for the successful execution and delivery of complex Grid Automation projects with customer full satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Execution:
- Lead the execution of complex projects within the Grid Automation solutions domain. Ensure alignment of project goals with overall business objectives. Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively. Ensure safety and quality through the overall execution cycle.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams. Ensure clear communication and manage expectations throughout the life cycle of all projects in the portfolio. Create a strong customer intimacy and ensure its satisfaction during execution.
- Project Planning, Scheduling and Resources: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Utilize planning and scheduling tools to monitor progress, manage the critical path and deliver the project in time. Ensure optimal usage of project resources partnering with the Engineering and Services department.
- Project Budget:
- Ensure optimal budget control developing clear work breakdown structure and monitoring Earned Value (EV) also called Budgeted Cost of Work Performed (BCWP).
- Enhance project financial defining saving strategy and maximizing variation orders during execution.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks identified during project execution. Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain high standards of project execution.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders. Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the energy or Grid Automation sector. Proven experience in managing complex, multi-faceted projects. Experience with protection relays, bay controller units, auxiliary relays, and telecom equipment is highly desirable.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred. Additional certifications in Grid Automation or related technologies are a plus.
- Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira). Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to travel to customer sites and offices as required by the project plan (around 20%)
- Deep understanding of Grid Automation solutions and industry standards.
- Experience with telecom equipment and network infrastructure.
- Knowledge of automation algorithms and human-machine interfaces.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
