Job Description
A Full-Stack Engineer will develop a high-performance web-based simulation platform for Gatik's autonomous vehicle operations, involving real-time data streaming, 3D visualization, API design, and cloud orchestration to support engineering analysis and system monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a web-based simulation platform with high-performance UI and 3D visualization components.
- Design and implement scalable REST and WebSocket APIs for real-time telemetry and simulation control.
- Manage and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and integrate time-series data storage for high-frequency logs.
- Set up and customize dashboards using Grafana to monitor simulation health and performance metrics.
- Use Docker and Kubernetes to manage simulation worker lifecycle and enable horizontal scaling.
- Optimize browser rendering for smooth simulation data playback under heavy load.
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js or Go Python for backend development.
- Experience with frontend development using React TypeScript to build a responsive, high-performance UI.
- Experience with 3D visualization components using Three.js or WebGL to render simulation environments and sensor data.
- Ability to architect scalable REST and WebSocket APIs to handle real-time telemetry and simulation control commands.
- Proficiency in designing and optimizing PostgreSQL schemas for simulation metadata and integrating time-series data storage for high-frequency logs.
- Deep experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus to set up and customize dashboards for monitoring simulation health, resource usage, and performance metrics.
- Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes for managing the lifecycle of simulation workers and ensuring horizontal scalability based on demand.
- Experience with optimizing browser rendering pipelines to ensure smooth 60fps playback of simulation data under heavy load.
- Experience with WebSockets, Protobuf, or similar binary data formats for data communication protocols.
- Familiarity with cloud providers such as Azure and infrastructure management using Docker and Kubernetes.

Salary range: $170,000 - $240,000
