The Operations Supervisor oversees the daily performance of autonomous vehicle operators and fleet operations, ensuring safety, compliance, route efficiency, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit, train, and onboard qualified drivers ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards
Conduct ride-alongs, performance evaluations, and coaching to promote safety and service quality
Enforce safety compliance policies and maintain driver qualifications and training programs
Coordinate vehicle maintenance, repairs, and track logs to ensure vehicle readiness
Plan daily routes, manage driver schedules, and optimize operational efficiency
Maintain strong customer relationships and address service issues to meet delivery targets
Address real-time logistical issues and provide hands-on operational support
Monitor KPIs and operational data to identify areas for improvement
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, or related field preferred
3 years of experience in transportation or fleet operations with a focus on driver supervision
Strong understanding of FMCSA, DOT, and internal safety policies and regulations
Experience with route planning tools and fleet management systems
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Valid U.S. CDL license with a clean driving record
Ability to operate Class 3-6 vehicles
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Ability to work flexible hours and respond to operational needs outside of scheduled shifts
Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check
