Job Description
The Operations Supervisor oversees the daily performance of autonomous vehicle operators and fleet operations, ensuring safety, compliance, route efficiency, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and onboard qualified autonomous vehicle drivers
- Conduct ride-alongs, performance evaluations, and coaching for drivers
- Enforce safety and compliance policies, including FMCSA and DOT regulations
- Coordinate scheduling and maintenance of autonomous trucks to ensure vehicle readiness
- Plan daily routes, manage driver schedules, and optimize operational efficiency
- Maintain strong customer relationships and address service issues
- Address real-time logistical challenges and provide hands-on support
- Monitor operational performance through KPIs and data analysis
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or related field preferred
- 3 years of experience in transportation or fleet operations with a focus on driver supervision
- Strong understanding of FMCSA, DOT, and internal safety policies and regulations
- Experience with route planning tools and fleet management systems
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Valid U.S. CDL license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable operating Class 3-6 vehicles and working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to operational needs outside of scheduled shifts
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check
