Job Description
An Operations Supervisor responsible for overseeing the daily performance of autonomous vehicle operators and fleet management, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations of autonomous trucks in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and onboard qualified autonomous vehicle drivers while ensuring regulatory and company compliance
- Supervise drivers through ride-alongs, performance evaluations, and coaching to promote safety and service quality
- Enforce safety and compliance policies, maintain driver qualifications, and oversee training programs
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance, schedule repairs, and ensure vehicle readiness
- Plan daily routes, manage driver schedules, and optimize operational efficiency
- Maintain strong customer relationships, address service issues, and meet delivery targets
- Address logistical challenges in real-time and provide operational support
- Monitor performance metrics and operational data to identify improvement opportunities
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, or related field preferred
- 3 years of experience in transportation or fleet operations with a focus on driver supervision
- Strong understanding of FMCSA, DOT, and internal safety policies and regulations
- Experience with route planning tools and fleet management systems
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Valid U.S. CDL license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable operating Class 3-7 vehicles and working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to operational needs outside of scheduled shifts
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check
