Job Description
A HR Generalist role supporting Gatik's North America Fleet Operations, responsible for HR operations, compliance, employee relations, and culture-building within a fast-paced, high-growth autonomous logistics company based in Mountain View, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the HR partner for Fleet Operations, supporting compliance, systems, and employee experience.
- Manage day-to-day HR operations for fleet employees, including payroll, benefits, data integrity, and compliance reporting.
- Oversee driver compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and Canadian CMV regulations, tracking violations and audit readiness.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations issues and policy interpretation.
- Support HR lifecycle processes for hourly workforce, including onboarding, offboarding, PTO, and training.
- Analyze workforce data and compliance metrics to identify insights and improve HR processes.
- Assist in onboarding and culture-building efforts to ensure new staff are well-oriented and aligned with company values.
Requirements
- Must be able to work onsite in Mountain View, CA 5 days per week
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, ideally in startups or high-growth, fast-paced start-up environments
- Background in transportation, logistics, or field operations required
- Proven expertise supporting non-exempt hourly employees including multi-state regulatory needs
- Strong HR operations knowledge including onboarding, compliance, performance management, benefits, and employee relations
- High ownership, sense of urgency, and comfort with ambiguity, with the ability to figure things out and get them done
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work in spreadsheets and extract actionable insights from data
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a calm and confident communication style
- Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms such as Rippling, ADP, or similar
- Deep integrity, follow-through, and attention to detail
Benefits & Perks
Salary range of $55/hr to $75/hr
