Job Description

The Fleet Dispatcher at Gatik is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the autonomous fleet in real-time, ensuring timely and safe deliveries through effective communication, incident management, and operational oversight during 12-hour shifts at the Fort Worth, TX location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the real-time command center for the autonomous fleet and AVOs, coordinating daily routes and dispatching vehicles.
  • Monitor the real-time status of all dispatched vehicles and deliveries, prioritizing tasks and providing critical updates.
  • Act as the primary contact for emergency and non-emergency communications, assessing situations and providing solutions.
  • Communicate delivery statuses, delays, and changes proactively to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Escalate urgent issues and resolutions promptly to AVO Supervisors and Operations Management.
  • Utilize fleet management software and TMS to track vehicle locations, freight progress, and estimated times of arrival.
  • Ensure operational procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards are followed by AVOs and drivers.
  • Log operational data, including schedules, delays, and incidents, and escalate critical issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of work requests, customer requests, and operational activities, and generate reports.

Requirements

  • Proven, high-volume experience as a dispatcher in the transportation, fleet, shipping, or logistics industry for at least 3 years.
  • Knowledge and understanding of DOT FMCSA regulations as they relate to Hours of Service and general compliance.
  • Highly proficient with modern communication and logistics tools, including order management systems, dispatching software, TMS Transportation Management System, and instant messaging platforms such as Slack and Zoom.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, the ability to effectively multitask, and sound judgment for critical thinking and rapid decision-making under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and calmly to drivers, Autonomous Vehicle Operators (AVOs), and client personnel.
  • Experience with fast, accurate data entry and a background in running reports or performing basic operational analytics.
  • Must be able to work a full 12-hour shift, primarily on site at the Fort Worth, TX office near Alliance Airport, with flexibility and responsiveness for possible overnight schedules.
