Job Description
A Fleet Dispatcher at Gatik is responsible for coordinating and managing the autonomous freight delivery operations, ensuring timely communication, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining efficient logistics during overnight hours in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the central point of contact for emergency and non-emergency dispatch communication.
- Communicate with drivers and clients via Slack, phone, text, and email to ensure smooth delivery operations.
- Receive, prioritize, and communicate real-time updates to support operations and ensure route execution.
- Monitor vehicle and delivery status, troubleshoot delays, and escalate issues as needed.
- Maintain dispatch schedules, update order statuses, and ensure SOP adherence.
- Record all communications, updates, and activities accurately in internal systems.
- Support ongoing improvements to dispatch processes and documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar logistics coordination role.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to manage real-time, high-pressure situations.
- Proficient in using instant messaging tools Slack and order dispatch management systems.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with a professional and solution-oriented approach.
- Fast and accurate typing experience with data entry and activity logging.
- Sound judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with procedures for managing emergency situations is a plus.
- Tech-savvy with access to a reliable computer and high-speed internet.
- Availability to support overnight hours with schedule flexibility and responsiveness.
