Job Description
Operate and supervise autonomous middle-mile box trucks, working closely with engineering teams to test and refine self-driving technology while ensuring safety and compliance in a fast-growing autonomous logistics company.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate 26-30 ft box trucks in manual mode while supervising autonomous driving systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to test, evaluate, and refine autonomous vehicle technology
- Monitor system performance using onboard screens, diagnostic tools, and software
- Conduct test runs, document unusual behavior, and provide feedback for system improvements
- Maintain safety and compliance by following DOT and company safety guidelines
Requirements
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) required
- Must have at least 3 years of experience driving 26-30 ft box trucks
- Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Must have a computer or IT background
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Ability to operate 26-30 ft box trucks in manual mode while supervising onboard autonomous driving systems
- Experience working with onboard screens, diagnostic tools, and software to monitor system performance
- Experience performing test runs, documenting unusual behavior, and providing clear, actionable feedback
- Must be highly alert and safety-focused, following DOT and company safety guidelines
- Flexible availability to work rotating or variable shifts, including night shifts from 7:30 PM to 6:30 AM, 5 days per week including weekends
- Excellent judgment under pressure
- Strong communication skills and ability to write clear, simple reports
