Job Description
Operate CDL or box trucks in manual mode while supporting autonomous vehicle technology in a middle-mile logistics environment, ensuring safety and providing feedback to improve self-driving systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate 26-30 ft box trucks in manual mode while supervising onboard autonomous driving systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to test, evaluate, and refine autonomous vehicle technology
- Use onboard screens, diagnostic tools, and software to monitor system performance
- Conduct test runs, document unusual behavior, and provide actionable feedback
- Maintain high alertness and safety compliance, intervening as needed following safety guidelines
Requirements
- 3 years experience driving 26-30 ft box trucks
- Valid CDL license
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Flexible availability including mandatory nights and weekend shifts
- Must pass background check and drug screen
- Ability to operate box trucks in manual mode while supervising onboard autonomous driving systems
- Ability to use onboard screens, diagnostic tools, and software to monitor system performance
- Ability to perform test runs, document unusual behavior, and provide clear, actionable feedback
- Stay highly alert and safety-focused, following DOT and company safety guidelines
