Job Description
As the need for nuclear energy grows, the future couldn’t be brighter.
Key Responsibilities
Perform standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks, resolution of field problems, and resolution of quality events.
Develop awareness of government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards with support of senior staff.
Under a mentor’s guidance, evaluate, select and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.
Preferred Skills
Mechanical and construction experience (including piping, electrical knowledge, equipment layout and testing and commissioning of new processes and equipment).
Machine design and manufacturing methods experience (Process equipment design, HVAC system design, Machining, Sheetmetal, Welding, Forming etc.)
Good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data (meetings, email, presentations, customer deliverables) and is able to adapt with flexibility
Familiarity with Solidworks and/or AutoCAD
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
Basic knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
Exposure to use of CAD modeling and computer programming skills.
Benefits & Perks
Salary: $86,000 - $91,000 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
