Job Description
A Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications and IIoT systems, collaborating in an agile environment to deliver real-time data visualization and automation solutions using open source tools and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate high-performance web-based applications, including SCADA and IIoT systems
- Collaborate with global teams to achieve project goals
- Write clean, efficient code, perform testing, create prototypes, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bottlenecks
- Participate in design discussions and provide technical insights
- Document best practices, methodologies, and technical workflows
Requirements
- 5 to 12 years of hands-on experience with open source software.
- Strong scripting automation experience with Bash and Python.
- Experience with Docker containerization, including creating Dockerfiles, building containers, troubleshooting, and using Docker Compose.
- Strong Ubuntu Linux experience.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and especially in technical writing of customer-facing documentation.
- Hands-on experience with open source software installation and configuration such as Grafana, Hasura, and PM2.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, e.g., AWS EC2, and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD build pipelines.
- Experience with development on MacOS, Docker, and Ubuntu environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
