Job Description
The Manufacturing NPI Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of manufacturing processes for the company's innovative solar energy systems, supporting product launch and scale-up efforts in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new product introductions (NPI).
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of products.
- Oversee production ramp-up and resolve manufacturing issues during NPI phase.
Requirements
- Relocation to Austin, TX is required and the candidate must be willing to move to the location.
- Experience in manufacturing engineering, specifically in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
- Ability to develop and execute manufacturing processes for new products in a high-tech environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing best practices and quality standards.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, and supply chain to ensure successful product launch.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining process documentation, work instructions, and validation protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions during production ramp-up.
- Experience with process validation, capability studies, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Educational background in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field (specific degree requirements are not explicitly stated but implied).
