Job Description
The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the mechanical systems of Exowatt's innovative solar energy storage and power generation technology, supporting the company's mission to provide scalable and sustainable energy solutions for AI infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for the P3 energy system.
- Oversee the integration of mechanical components with electrical and thermal systems.
- Ensure the mechanical reliability, safety, and efficiency of the energy technology.
Requirements
- Must have experience as a Lead Mechanical Engineer or in a similar senior mechanical engineering role.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in energy systems or related industries.
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree or higher is preferred.
- Must have demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems, especially those related to energy capture, storage, or conversion.
- Must have experience working with solar energy systems, thermal energy storage, or electricity generation technologies.
- Must have strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to energy systems.
- Must be able to lead and coordinate cross-disciplinary teams to develop mechanical components and systems.
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Must be willing to relocate to Miami, FL, and be able to work on-site; relocation assistance will be provided.
- Must have good communication skills to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and executive teams.
- Must be familiar with industry standards and safety regulations related to mechanical systems and energy devices.
