Job Description
A Controls Firmware Engineer responsible for designing and implementing control architecture for a scalable thermal energy storage system, involving PLC programming, embedded firmware development, and contributing to testing and deployment workflows in a fast-growing renewable energy company.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement control architecture for the thermal energy storage system
- Develop PLC programs and embedded firmware for control systems
- Contribute to building test benches and CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain high reliability and facilitate rapid iteration through GitHub workflows
Requirements
- Experience in designing and implementing control architecture for thermal energy storage systems.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and embedded firmware development.
- Ability to develop and contribute to building test benches for system validation.
- Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in using GitHub for workflows and version control.
- Willingness to relocate to Miami, FL, with the understanding that relocation assistance will be provided.
- Hands-on experience with microcontroller-based solutions, transitioning from industrial controllers to custom microcontroller platforms.
