Job Description
Assist in organizing and supporting the Esri User Conference by managing registrations, communicating with attendees and sponsors, processing event data, and providing customer service to ensure a smooth and successful event experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Process registrations and payments for attendees and sponsors
- Manage submissions for the map gallery and presentations
- Communicate with presenters, attendees, sponsors, and staff via phone and email
- Organize and input event data across spreadsheets
- Update internal and external event resources
- Assist with various event-related tasks such as scheduling, registration, exhibits, sponsorships, and content management
Requirements
- One year of experience working in events, or the hospitality industry
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to work on weekends and travel as needed
- Ability to type at least 45 words per minute
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, hospitality, or a related field
- Adherence to Esri's in-person event attendance requirements
- Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy for analysis and research of crucial data
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills due to heavy phone work and customer service with users and business partners
- Ability to organize and input data across various spreadsheets to track event activities, materials, and schedules
- Ability to receive and maintain submissions for the map gallery and presentations
- Ability to communicate with presenters, attendees, sponsors, and staff via phone and email to answer event-related questions
Benefits & Perks
Estimated base pay range of $21 USD per hour
