Job Description
The Technical Consultant will deploy, support, and troubleshoot enterprise GIS solutions in cloud environments like AWS and Azure, working with cross-functional teams to optimize operations and develop innovative cloud-based GIS offerings for diverse clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot ArcGIS Enterprise solutions in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
- Implement and validate solution changes to ensure minimal downtime and optimal operational efficiency.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to deploy cloud-based GIS solutions for various clients.
- Research and develop new cloud technology solutions to enhance existing deployments and create new offerings.
- Provide rotational 24/7 technical support for enterprise GIS systems.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and administrating enterprise GIS solutions systems that leverage the ArcGIS platform desktop, enterprise, and online
- Proficiency with the Esri product line, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and related desktop extensions
- Excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact directly with customers who do not have an IT background
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly
- US citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related STEM field
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team environment to deploy cloud solutions for a wide range of customers including commercial utility, natural resources, federal, state, and local government
- Deploy, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot ArcGIS Enterprise-based solutions in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure
- Implement and validate solution changes, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency
- Be proactive in recognizing and handling uptime and performance challenges
- Engage with development, QA, and product teams in bringing cases to resolution
- Troubleshoot the system and provide root cause analysis
- Provide rotational 24/7 on-call technical support
