Job Description
The Technical Consultant will lead the design, implementation, and support of ArcGIS solutions for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, advising customers on spatial technology applications to enhance decision-making and operational workflows within the defense and intelligence sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform in collaboration with customers and partners
- Provide platform configuration guidance and best practices for Esri technology solutions
- Advise customers on strategies, architectures, and solutions for GIS implementation and migration
- Present complex GIS technical demonstrations to diverse customer organizations
- Collaborate with customer IT teams to align technical objectives and business goals with Esri technology
Requirements
- Five years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities.
- Professional experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise GIS solutions systems that leverage the ArcGIS platform Desktop, Server, and Online.
- Proven experience leveraging Esri’s software capabilities including mapping, field operations, spatial analysis and data science, 3D visualization and analytics, data management, and developer APIs.
- Proactively craft and propose solutions that clarify how GIS brings business value to address critical business challenges faced by customers, specifically in the Intelligence domain.
- Proven experience with GIS workflow automation patterns.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical peers, project managers, and/or customers.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, verbal communication, multi-tasking, and presentation skills.
- U.S. citizenship and willingness and ability to maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM-related field.
