Job Description
A Technical Consultant at Esri supports and implements ArcGIS enterprise systems by providing technical support, system administration, and troubleshooting for enterprise GIS solutions, ensuring customer success and optimal system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and guidance for ArcGIS Enterprise implementations and system administration
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and offer customer-facing technical consultation
- Manage enterprise geodatabases, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting
- Assist customers with system requirements, design, and best practices for ArcGIS Enterprise
- De-escalate technical support situations and communicate technical concepts clearly to customers
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery
- Support Linux-based system administration and foundational system-level tasks
- Document technical solutions and contribute to knowledge base resources
- Mentor colleagues on enterprise system implementations
Requirements
- Five years of professional experience in GIS technical support, system administration, or technical consulting.
- Three years of professional experience with ArcGIS Enterprise architecture, configuration, and administration.
- Proven experience working with enterprise geodatabases and database administration concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide customer-facing technical support.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to de-escalate challenging technical situations.
- Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to evolving customer requirements.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level customers and understanding of enterprise IT environments.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related STEM field.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $82,160 - $138,320 USD
Work schedule: Minimum of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the year
