A Systems Engineer responsible for supporting and enhancing private cloud infrastructure, automating workflows, and implementing security and operational solutions using various automation and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain private cloud infrastructure components using VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V
Analyze and improve operational workflows and processes
Build, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure tools and systems
Automate infrastructure and workflows using scripting and infrastructure as code
Configure and deploy containerized microservices
Provide root cause analysis and resolve system issues
Respond to alerts and perform proactive performance and uptime management
Automate self-provisioning of resources and services in the private cloud
Requirements
At least 2 years of systems engineering experience.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting Windows or Linux environments.
Experience working in private on-prem cloud environments running VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V.
Ability to create, edit, and maintain scripting code from Bash, Powershell, Python, and Javascript for infrastructure configuration and building.
Experience with configuration management systems such as Ansible.
Understanding of build automation systems such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform and Packer.
Ability to automate workflows via scripting for self-service.
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field.
