Job Description
The Supervisor of Disbursements oversees the daily operations of the disbursement team, ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments and employee reimbursements, while managing staff, improving processes, and maintaining strong vendor and internal relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Disbursements team, ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments and employee reimbursements
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to maintain high performance and policy compliance
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues and strengthen relationships
- Collaborate with management to develop and update accounts payable and reimbursement policies and procedures
- Identify and implement process and system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability
- Prepare and present reports on accounts payable, reimbursement metrics, and team performance for strategic decision-making
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in disbursements, accounts payable, or related financial functions.
- Strong ERP payment system knowledge, including experience with travel and expense modules.
- Experience in domestic and international disbursements, including travel accounting and accounts payable.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, negotiating, reasoning, and problem solving.
- Ability to develop strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs across all disbursement functions.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
