Job Description
A GIS expert specializing in defense and intelligence workflows, responsible for developing innovative geospatial solutions, providing technical leadership, and advising customers on complex GIS strategies to address critical business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Solve complex business challenges by developing GIS solutions tailored to defense and intelligence needs.
- Define and implement strategies that align Esri technology with customer business objectives.
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in GIS, defense, and intelligence communities.
- Build and maintain relationships with technical decision-makers and lead technical meetings to drive revenue.
- Design and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations for diverse audiences.
- Provide configuration guidance, best practices, and support for Esri software and solutions.
- Share knowledge, coach team members, and promote best practices within the organization.
Requirements
- Five years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- Three years of experience in the defense and intelligence community
- Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design
- Understanding of business development processes
- Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri software
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments, specifically Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Experience integrating business systems including data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms
- Programming and scripting experience with languages such as Python and/or JavaScript
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in geography or GIS, computer science, or a related field
- Applicants must be a US Citizen, undergo a background investigation, and obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility requirements for a Secret, Top Secret (TS), TS SCI, or TS SCI with polygraph
