Job Description
The Software Reliability Engineer at Esri is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and disaster recovery capabilities of the ArcGIS Enterprise product through requirements gathering, testing, automation, and effective communication with users and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and define software reliability and availability requirements from users and internal teams
- Collaborate across teams to influence and implement reliability features
- Create and automate test plans, evaluate test results, and address software defects
- Communicate reliability information through documentation, videos, and presentations
Requirements
- 2-6 years of experience in a position with operational responsibilities, such as monitoring, maintaining, and deploying enterprise software
- Experience in software testing
- Fundamental understanding of web services, such as REST
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a complex backend-server stack
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science and applications, math, GIS, geography, or a related field
- Existing work authorization for India
