Job Description
A Senior Business Analyst supporting HR business intelligence needs by gathering requirements, designing data visuals, and delivering analytics solutions to drive strategic decision-making within Esri's Human Resources organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit requirements through interviews, workshops, surveys, and analysis of existing processes and documentation
- Produce project artifacts such as requirements documentation, use cases, business process models, data models, permissions models, RACI matrices, and data visuals
- Evaluate information from multiple sources to reconcile conflicts and develop detailed requirements
- Collaborate with colleagues to analyze, prioritize, and evaluate solutions, providing recommendations and delivering information products
- Ensure data requirements are met within acceptable response times and reliability standards
- Create and review dashboards and reports using Power BI, incorporating new features and functionality
Requirements
- Five years of direct work experience in a business analyst capacity supporting the business intelligence needs of Human Resources organizations.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational skills with the ability to adapt communication style and message based on audience including peers, stakeholders, executives, and subject matter experts.
- Strong interpersonal skills including diplomacy, negotiating, reasoning, problem solving, and influence.
- Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs.
- Strong facilitation skills to gain requirements from various personalities across the organization.
- Ability to set priorities, plan, and independently execute tasks in a structured manner while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, or a related field.
- Ability to elicit requirements using techniques including interviews, workshops, surveys, and analysis of existing processes, documentation, and information products.
- Experience producing project artifacts including requirements documentation, use cases, business process modeling through workflows, data models, permissions models, RACI matrices, and data visuals.
- Experience producing dashboards and reports using Power BI and regularly reviewing for new features and functionality.
